Antigen Rapid Test Kit (RTK)

COVID-19 infection can be confirmed with Antigen Rapid Test Kit with above 90% accuracy in patients who have or don’t have any COVID-19 symptoms. This helps in time-sensitive precautionary isolation measures in order to reduce the spread of the virus. They are portable, easy to perform, less expensive and provide results in 1-2 hours.

The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kit is a membrane-based lateral flow immunoassay for detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigens in nasal swab (human nasopharyngeal). At the time of the test, if any SARS-CoV-2 antigen are present in the sample, it will react with the antibody-coated nanoparticles in the reactive test strip. As a result, the blend migrates chromatographically around the reactive strip due to capillary action.

If SARS-CoV-2 antigens are present in the specimen, they will bind to SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in the test line area, resulting in a coloured line on the test strip, showing a positive result. No coloured line will show in the test line area if the antigens are not present in the specimen, showing a negative result. As part of the procedure, a coloured line will often appear in the Control line region showing that the test protocol was followed correctly and that the test components operated as expected.

Antigen Rapid Test is aimed at healthcare practitioners, with the goal of assisting them in COVID-19 emergency response by providing timely results to our patients giving safe and reliable results in 30 minutes. How the Test work

1. First, Collect a nasal sample using the swab given. Roll it gently onto both nostrils and remove it. Likewise, the other way, collect the nasopharyngeal sample, insert the swab into the nasal cavity and place it parallel to the palate. Gently rub and roll it and remove it 
2. Rotate the swab for about 10 seconds after inserting it into the extraction buffer. Squeeze the edges of the test tube when removing the swab to remove as much liquid as possible.
3. Put 3 drops of the collected specimen in the sample. After 15 minutes you can check the results and same day results applicable.

Results Analysis

Positive Result: Two colored lines appear, one appears in the Control line region (C) and the other in the test line region (T). This implies positive results as the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigens has been detected in the test result.

Negative Result: In the case of negative result it shows the Control (C) region has a colored line, while the Test (T) region has zero.
